Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 129) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health in over 30,000 patients. His technology is also being used in commercial products to improve sustainability and renewable energy. He is currently helping those companies and serves as a professor at Brown University, Saveetha University, Hebei University of Technology, UFPI, and others. Dr. Webster has numerous awards including: 2020, World Top 2% Scientist by Citations (PLOS); 2020, SCOPUS Highly Cited Research (Top 1% Materials Science and Mixed Fields); 2021, Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers (Pharmacology and Toxicology); 2022, Best Materials Science Scientist by Citations (Research.com); and is a fellow of over 8 societies. Professor Vladimir G. Chigrinov is Professor of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 1999. He is an Expert in Flat Panel Technology in Russia, recognized by the World Technology Evaluation Centre, 1994, and SID Fellow since 2008. He is an author of 6 books, 31 reviews and book chapters, about 317 journal papers, more than 668 Conference presentations, and 121 patents and patent applications including 36 US patents in the field of liquid crystals since 1974. He got Excellent Research Award of HKUST School of Engineering in 2012. He obtained Gold Medal and The Best Award in the Invention & Innovation Awards 2014 held at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2014, which was hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 20-22 Feb 2014. He is a Member of EU Academy of Sciences (EUAS) since July 2017. He got A Slottow Owaki Prize of SID in 2018 chigrinov-wins-2018-slottow-owaki-prize). He is 2019 Distinguished Fellow of IETI (International Engineering and Technology Institute). Since 2018 he works as Professor in the School of Physics and Optoelectronics Engineering in Foshan University, Foshan, China. 2020-2024 Vice President of Fellow of Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDSAI), Since 2021 distinguished Fellow of Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Koichi Shimizu received M.S. (1976) and Ph.D. (1979) degrees, from University of Washington, Seattle, USA. He was Research Associate in University of Washington 1974-79. He was an Assistant-, an Associate- Professors, and a Professor in Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan in 1979-2016. He is currently a Professor Emeritus of Hokkaido University, Japan, an Invited Research Professor of Waseda University, Japan and a Professor of Xidian University, Xi’an, China. He has been engaged in the studies of biomedical engineering including those of wave propagation in biological media, optical measurement, biotelemetry and biological effects of electromagnetic field. He served as an associate editor of IEEE Trans. ITB in 1999–2007. He has been a Fellow of the Electromagnetics Academy, and an editorial board member of Scientific Reports, Nature. He is a member of IEEE, OSA, ISOB, IEEJ, IEICE and JSMBE. He received Research Promotion Award (1981), Best Paper Award (1995) and New Technology Development Award (2020) from Japan Society for Medical and Biological Engineering.

Valery V. Tuchinis a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Optics and Biophotonics and Director of the Science Medical Center of Saratov State University. He is also works with several other research centers. He is a laureate of many national and international awards in biophotonics and biomedical optics, has published more than 40 books and 1000 articles that have been cited more than 42,000 times.

Vasudevanpillai Biju is a Professor and the Director of the Promotion Office of International Alliance at the Research Institute for Electronic Science and the Division of Environmental Materials Science at Hokkaido University. He became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2011 and a fellow of the International Association for the Advancement of Materials in 2023. He is the deputy editor of the J. Photochem. Prof., Dr.Sc. Yury Gushcho has created a new direction in applied physics - Phase Reliefography. Gushcho is the author of 128 patents, more than 500 scientific papers and seven books. He has developed the phase electro-optical light modulator ‘Relief’ with a diffraction coefficient of 98.6%, a switching frequency of the relief phase image up to 1 MHz, the possibility of using both coherent and incoherent light sources. The modulator can be used in conventional and holographic laser projectors, in tunable diffraction gratings, in image filtering devices, in attenuators, in multiplexers, in two-way optical communication, in telecom systems, in energy-saving laser light sources with controlled optical spectrum and in other applications.

Nuno Ferreira is a PhD in Physics Engineeringand currently is a researcher at i3N, Physics Department at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He had coordinated and participated in more than 10 national and international research R&D projects on material science. He is doing research in ceramics-based materials, prepared through conventional methods (melting, solid stated), with a particular interest in laser processing materials (crystal growth – LFZ and surface sintering/modification). Present sample preparation and characterization skills include various techniques such as electrical conductivity and magnetic properties of several oxide materials. Current focus materials: thermoelectrics, ferroelectrics and glass matrices doped with transition metals and rare earth for energy harvesting (storage and conversion) applications. His main expertise is related to the structural, magnetic and electrical properties of materials prepared by laser processing. Author of 1 book chapter, co-author of 6 national patents, 2 international patents, more than 75 papers and 12 conference participations as an invited speaker and more than 100 poster presentations. He supervised 3 PhD students, 15 master's students and 9 post-graduates.

Petr Kutálek was born in October 1985 in the Czech Republic. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in 2014 at the Department of Physical Chemistry, University of Pardubice, Czech Republic. Since 2014 he has been working as a junior researcher at the University of Pardubice with the scientific task of preparation and physical and chemical characterization of non-crystalline materials (chalcogenide glasses), focusing on their response to light irradiation (light-induced effects). Currently, he is also involved in laser micro-patterning of oxide glasses with high refractive index.

Prior to joining Meta, Dr. Luo was a Research Fellow at University College London (UCL) in UK, where he focused on optical network topology design, routing and spectrum assignment, and throughput analysis. Ahmed El-Hussein from National Institute of Laser Enhanced Science, Cairo University, Egypt. As the first author and corresponding author, Angyang Yu has published more than 30 scientific articles in many international journals. He had served as a teaching faculty in Liaoning University of Petroleum and Chemical Technology before he obtained his Ph.D. degree at Jilin University of China and performed his Postdoctor's research in Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research directions cover a wide range among physics, chemistry, as well as materials science. Dr. Yuan Shi obtained his PhD of laser Physics from Institute of Physics and Astronomy, Aarhus University, Denmark and working as a guest scientist in Microelectronics Center of Technical University of Denmark. He Worked as an engineering director in E-TEK/JDSU, and served as Vice President of Operations & NPI in Phosistor. He was cofounder and GM of Agilecom working in diode lasers and advanced passives, and cofounder of Allwave Lasers to develop and make selected wavelength lasers, narrow line width lasers, broadband lasers, wavelength scanning lasers and wavelength tunable lasers, as well as passive photonic devices with low cost hermeticity for very high reliability and high power for telecom and sensing systems.

Marcin Motyka, University Professor. At the beginning, his research was focused on investigating of quantum dots designed for second and third telecommunication windows and simultaneously, structures utilizing gallium nitride, which resulted in a thesis defended in 2008. Further, he had started a new research field, associated with optical sensing in mid-infrared, which stayed in his area of focus to the present day. This branch of science fits in the leading trends in contemporary solid state physics, being extraordinarily relevant in many aspects of life, such as medicine, or environment preservation. He is an author of more than 120 papers, with his research works cited over 900, times which results in his Hirsch factor of 19.

Prof. Dr. Farid Menaa is an inter- and multi-disciplinary experienced professional with ​worldwide reputation. He has a solid background and diverse experiences in academic, governmental and industrial environments, and held various positions including as a PI, supervisor, director and committee’s member. He is a member of several prestigious organizations and sits in numerous editorial boards of reputed journals. He has authored more than 200 articles, reviewed more than 1000 articles for the medical and scientific communities, and has participated to over 600 scientific international events where he sometimes also acts as chairman and/or co-organizer. Dr. Menaa is a co-pioneer of CFS, a spectroscopy-based technology with unique features and large applicabilities in sciences, technologies, and innovations. Dr. Menaa is often solicited as an international health expert, an editor, a moderator, an evaluator, and a consultant specialist. Prof Dr Raymond Ooi is a quantum physicist with 25 years of research experience, has produced more than 130 publications in WoS (mainly Q1 journals) on the topics of quantum optics, nonlinear optics, plasmonics and laser interactions. He was elected a Fellow of Optica and Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM). In 2013, he won the Malaysian Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) Science & Technology Award. Raymond Ooi obtained his Dr.rer.nat (PhD) from Universitaet Konstanz, Germany. He was with Texas A&M University and a regular Visiting Scientist at Princeton University and Max-Planck Institut fuer Quantenoptik. He conducted research at KAIST and taught at Korea University. In 2010, he joined Universiti Malaya and initiated "Quantum and Laser Science" research lab equipped with a femtosecond laser and optics facility under High Impact Research grant. Dr Raymond is the Principal Investigator for the national quantum technology research programme funded by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). He has 2 patents relating to green energy. Besides being invited/plenary speaker at more than 30 international conferences, he has given many talks that bring quantum science and technology to students and public. In 2018 he initiated and chaired the first international conference on Quantum and Nonlinear Optics(QNO2018) that was attended by pioneers in the field and secured three international funds to run the conference. He served as a Judge for MIT Technology Review “Innovators Under 35 Asia Pacific”. Currently he is the Editorial Board member for the New Journal of Physics. He has published a book “The Way of Creation, Nature & Life: Physics and Mathematics Perspectives”, and wrote several articles in the media, connecting science with recent topics like green energy and climate change.

Dr. Mohammed Zidan is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Hurghada University, Egypt. With a remarkable academic background and extensive research experience, he has made significant contributions to the fields of quantum computing, quantum artificial intelligence, and quantum technologies. During his tenure at Zewail University of Science and Technology in Giza, Egypt, from 2016 to 2020, he excelled in his research and teaching endeavors, demonstrating his expertise and passion for research. In 2020, he became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the esteemed Photonic and Smart Materials Center, Zewail City of Science and Technology, Cairo, Egypt. His pioneering achievements include patents granted by the U.S. Patent Office for inventing the main memory for quantum computers (Quantum Random Access Memory). This groundbreaking invention enables efficient read/write operations across all memory cells in constant time [O(1)], surpassing the storage capacity of classical counterparts exponentially. In addition to these patents, he has filed additional patents with the U.S. Patent Office for various applications of quantum computing, including quantum blockchains, quantum self-driving car systems, and quantum 3D printing systems, further establishing his innovative approach and expertise. Throughout his distinguished career, he has published numerous high-impact articles in internationally prestigious journals, solidifying his reputation as a leading researcher in the field. His research interests encompass quantum artificial intelligence and quantum technologies, areas in which he continuously strives to push the boundaries of scientific knowledge. Dr. Zidan actively engages with the academic community and serves as a reviewer for several renowned international journals specializing in quantum AI. His expertise and contributions have been widely recognized. Cid B. de Araújo received a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE-Recife), M.Sc. and D. Sc. degrees in Physics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Presently de Araújo is Emeritus Professor at UFPE-Recife. de Araújo was a research associate at Harvard University (Massachusetts, USA) 1976-1977, visiting scientist at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center (New York) 1987-1988, visiting researcher at University of Campinas (Brazil), École Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France), Université Paris-Nord (France), visiting researcher and invited professor at the Université d’Angers (Angers, France) on various occasions. Since 1978 de Araújo is also a Research Fellow of the Brazilian National Research Council (CNPq). de Araújo was a member of the Editorial Board of Optical Materials (Amsterdam) 1991-1995; Brazilian Journal of Physics 1991-2007 (Editor from 1992 to 1995); Applied Physics Letters (2013–2015); Journal of Applied Physics (2013–2015); and he has been a reviewer for various international scientific journals. He has been a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of APL Photonics since 2019. de Araújo is fellow of OPTICA (formerly Optical Society - OSA), fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, and member of the Brazilian National Order of Scientific Merit. He was the recipient of the Galileo Galilei Award 2003 presented by the International Commission for Optics (ICO). de Araújo participated in the Membership Advisory Committee for Physics of TWAS, the Commission on Quantum Electronics of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP), the OSA International Council, the Committee for the Galileo Galilei Award of the ICO, several committees of national and international conferences, and consulting to research financial agencies of Brazil, Uruguay, Venezuela, Spain and Chile. de Araújo was vice-president of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences for the Brazilian Northeast Region from 2006 to 2018. He is member of the Brazilian Physical Society, Brazilian Materials Research Society, Brazilian Society for Optics and Photonics, and OPTICA (formerly OSA). Up to February 2025 de Araújo supervised 77 graduate students and 23 post-doctors. He has authored or co-authored 377 scientific and technical papers in international journals, 15 book chapters, edited 02 books issued by international publishers, as well as 620 contributed and invited communications in national and international conferences. He has also written for science popularization journals, bulletins and newsletters of professional societies. Presently he has been working on laser spectroscopy of materials, nonlinear optical properties of nanocomposites, and disordered photonics (with emphasis on Random Lasers - Physics and Applications).

Dr. Renato de Araujo is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Brazil. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from UFPE in 2001 and completed postdoctoral research at Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute in 2002. In 2003, he furthered his career as a Researcher at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, USA. Dr. de Araujo has earned the TWAS Young Scientists Award (2006) from The World Academy of Sciences and the SUS Science and Technology Award (2013) from the Brazilian Ministry of Health, recognizing his pioneering work on dengue. Dr. de Araujo is a member of professional societies: IEEE, SPIE, the Brazilian Photonics Society, and the Brazilian Biomedical Engineering Society. His research expertise spans biophotonics, nanotechnology, biosensors, optical spectroscopy, and imaging, contributing to advancements in both scientific understanding and applied technologies.

Dr. Y. S. Kim is a Professor in the Department of Semiconductor Engineering at the University of Ulsan, Korea. He also serves as Chair of the Semiconductor Specified Human Training Center. Dr. Kim earned his Ph.D. in Semiconductor Physics from Seoul National University in 1998 and has since dedicated his career to advancing semiconductor science and education. Before joining academia, he spent a decade at SK-Hynix Semiconductor Inc. as a principle researcher, where he contributed to the development of high-performance memory devices, including dual-poly metal gate and high-performance ALD technologies. His academic research focuses on 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), valleytronics, polaritons, and neuromorphic memory devices. He has led multiple national research projects funded by the NRF and KEIT of Korea, so on, emphasizing next-generation optoelectronics and green energy materials. His recent publications cover topics such as strong exciton-photon coupling, valley polarization in 2D materials, and microcavity design.

Prof. Dr. Davinson Mariano da Silva (H-24) is a young full professor at São Paulo Faculty of Technology (FATEC-SP), where he has been working since 2011. His research focuses on the development of novel optical materials, including rare-earth-doped glasses, glass-ceramics, zinc oxide, carbon and graphene quantum dots, for applications in random lasers and luminescent sensors. During his PhD at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP), which he completed in 2012, Dr. da Silva worked on the development of micrometric waveguides based on erbium-doped germanate glasses decorated with gold nanoparticles for light amplification. Dr. da Silva has authored numerous scientific publications and actively collaborates with international researchers, contributing to advancements in novel materials for random lasers, replica symmetry breaking, and optical sensing.
