Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 129) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health in over 30,000 patients. His technology is also being used in commercial products to improve sustainability and renewable energy. He is currently helping those companies and serves as a professor at Brown University, Saveetha University, Hebei University of Technology, UFPI, and others. Dr. Webster has numerous awards including: 2020, World Top 2% Scientist by Citations (PLOS); 2020, SCOPUS Highly Cited Research (Top 1% Materials Science and Mixed Fields); 2021, Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers (Pharmacology and Toxicology); 2022, Best Materials Science Scientist by Citations (Research.com); and is a fellow of over 8 societies. Prof. Webster is a former President of the U.S. Society for Biomaterials and has over 1,350 publications to his credit with over 66,000 citations. He was recently nominated for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Prof. Webster also recently formed a fund to support Nigerian student research opportunities in the U.S.

Professor Vladimir G. Chigrinov is Professor of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 1999. He is an Expert in Flat Panel Technology in Russia, recognized by the World Technology Evaluation Centre, 1994, and SID Fellow since 2008. He is an author of 6 books, 31 reviews and book chapters, about 317 journal papers, more than 668 Conference presentations, and 121 patents and patent applications including 36 US patents in the field of liquid crystals since 1974. He got Excellent Research Award of HKUST School of Engineering in 2012. He obtained Gold Medal and The Best Award in the Invention & Innovation Awards 2014 held at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2014, which was hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 20-22 Feb 2014. He is a Member of EU Academy of Sciences (EUAS) since July 2017. He got A Slottow Owaki Prize of SID in 2018 chigrinov-wins-2018-slottow-owaki-prize). He is 2019 Distinguished Fellow of IETI (International Engineering and Technology Institute). Since 2018 he works as Professor in the School of Physics and Optoelectronics Engineering in Foshan University, Foshan, China. 2020-2024 Vice President of Fellow of Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDSAI), Since 2021 distinguished Fellow of Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Valery V. Tuchinis a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Optics and Biophotonics and Director of the Science Medical Center of Saratov State University. He is also works with several other research centers. He is a laureate of many national and international awards in biophotonics and biomedical optics, has published more than 40 books and 1000 articles that have been cited more than 42,000 times.

Vasudevanpillai Biju is a Professor and the Director of the Promotion Office of International Alliance at the Research Institute for Electronic Science and the Division of Environmental Materials Science at Hokkaido University. He assumed this position after a research career as a scientist and a senior scientist at AIST, Japan (2004-2015), a PRESTO researcher at Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST, 2010- 2014), a visiting Scientist at the University of Texas at Austin, USA (2007), a postdoctoral fellow at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, USA (2003-2004), a JSPS postdoctoral fellow at AIST, Japan (2002-2003), and a research scientist at Angstrom Technology Partnership, Japan (2000-2002). Also, he has been a distinguished professor at the University of Calicut, an adjunct Professor at IIT Hyderabad (India), and a visiting professor at Nagoya University (Japan),  Southern University (USA), Mahatma Gandhi University (India), and Kerala University (India). He has been a member of the board of studies/faculty evaluation/faculty screening/project screening committees of academic and government bodies in Japan (JST and JSPS), India, New Zealand, Chili, Taiwan, the European Union, Singapore, and Belgium. He was a SPARC fellow at IIT Hyderabad, India, and an Erudite Fellow of the Bard of Higher Education, Kerala, India (Cochin University of Science and Technology). His research interests include semiconductor nanocrystals and quantum dots, photo-functional molecules, nanobiotechnology, and single-molecule techniques. His research activities have been recognized with academy awards by the Japanese Chemical Society, the Japanese Photochemistry Association, the Asian and Oceanian Photochemistry Association, and the Ozaki Foundation (Gen-nai Prize and Gen-nai Award). He became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2011 and a fellow of the International Association for the Advancement of Materials in 2023. He is the deputy editor of the J. Photochem. Photobiol. C (Elsevier), and an associate editor of NPG Asia Materials (Nature-Springer).

Riccardo Meucci was born in Scandicci (Firenze, Italy) in 02/03/1956. Graduate School in Optics (PhD) from University of Firenze, with evaluation note 70/70 cum laude. 20/12/1982: Degree in Physics from University of Firenze, with evaluation note 110/110. Both degrees were obtained under the supervision of Prof. Tito Arecchi.Currently he is Senior Associate at Istituto Nazionale di Ottica of the Italian National Research Council (INO-CNR), Firenze, Italy from 01/04/2023 and Research Director at Istituto Nazionale di Ottica of the Italian National Research Council (INO-CNR), Firenze, Italy,Contract Professor of Physical Optics and Mathematical Methods for Optics at University of Firenze, Italy. Visiting Professor at ISDIA USI- SUPSI (Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence), Lugano, Switzerland from February 2023.

Ali Kamli is a Professor of Physics at JazanUniversity , Saudi Arabia. He received his BSc in Physics from King Saud University ,Abha , and MSc and PhD in theoretical high energy physics from University of Southampton , UK . He served as chairman of Physics Department at King Khalid University, and Dean of College of Engineering and Computer Sciences at King Khalid University , chairman of Physics Department at Jazan University, Dean for Academic Development at Jazan University, and Vice Rector for Academic Development and Quality , where he chaired and directed the developments and quality assurance projects at Jazan University . He held positions as visiting scientist fellow at University of Rochester, Department of Physics in 1999-2000 (USA) and as visiting professor at University of Calgary, Institute for Quantum Information Science 2007-2009 (Canada). He is the founder of the Saudi Physical Society, and served two terms as executive secretary. He is a founding member of the Atomic , Molecular and Optical Physics (AMOP) Division of the Saudi Physical Society and the first chair of AMOP (2013-2015). In 2012 he founded the Saudi International Meeting on Frontiers of Physics (SIMFP) at JazanUniversity , a series of annual scientific meetings that continue until now. He received many awards including the Asian Leadership Award for Outstanding contribution in education in 2015, and Jazan province excellence award 2018 . His current research focus is theoretical quantum optics and photonics, quantum information, plasmonics and meta-materials, EIT, coherent control of light matter interactions, and cavity quantum electrodynamics. He has translated into Arabic the well known benchmark textbook “ Electromagnetic fields and Waves, by P. Lorrain et al“. He authored and co-authored many research publications, patents , and published in reputed journals that include Phys Rev Lett , Phys Rev A , Journal of Physics B , Optics Communications , Journal of Optics , and others.

Prof., Dr.Sc. Yury Gushcho has created a new direction in applied physics - Phase Reliefography. Gushcho is the author of 128 patents, more than 500 scientific papers and seven books. He has developed the phase electro-optical light modulator ‘Relief’ with a diffraction coefficient of 98.6%, a switching frequency of the relief phase image up to 1 MHz, the possibility of using both coherent and incoherent light sources. The modulator can be used in conventional and holographic laser projectors, in tunable diffraction gratings, in image filtering devices, in attenuators, in multiplexers, in two-way optical communication, in telecom systems, in energy-saving laser light sources with controlled optical spectrum and in other applications.

Nuno Ferreira is a PhD in Physics Engineeringand currently is a researcher at i3N, Physics Department at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He had coordinated and participated in more than 10 national and international research R&D projects on material science. He is doing research in ceramics-based materials, prepared through conventional methods (melting, solid stated), with a particular interest in laser processing materials (crystal growth – LFZ and surface sintering/modification). Present sample preparation and characterization skills include various techniques such as electrical conductivity and magnetic properties of several oxide materials. Current focus materials: thermoelectrics, ferroelectrics and glass matrices doped with transition metals and rare earth for energy harvesting (storage and conversion) applications. His main expertise is related to the structural, magnetic and electrical properties of materials prepared by laser processing. Author of 1 book chapter, co-author of 6 national patents, 2 international patents, more than 75 papers and 12 conference participations as an invited speaker and more than 100 poster presentations. He supervised 3 PhD students, 15 master's students and 9 post-graduates.

Bachelor in Physics (1983) from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, MSc (1987) and PhD (1996) in Sciences from Universidade de São Paulo, full Professor of Physics at Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo -Centro Estadual de Educação Tecnológica Paula Souza (since 1992), in exclusive dedication regime since 1994, director of the same Institution (2006-2017), leading pioneering research in photonic glasses and novel nanocomposites for technological applications (waveguides using Si technology and fs laser irradiation for integrated photonics, random laser, color tunability and white light generation, photovoltaic devices, among others), having supervised nearly 90 students and performed reviews for several international journals. Member of the Brazilian Physical Society, Brazilian Society of Optics and Photonics, Brazilian Materials Research Society, senior member of Optica (formerly OSA) since 2020, member of the postgraduate program in Electrical Engineering at EPUSP (since 2003), served on national (CNPq, FINEP, FACEPE, FAPEMIG, FAPESP and CAPES) and international (Chile, Poland and Switzerland) scientific committees, published several articles in reputed journals (h=35 in the web of science with 4,082 citations, h= 38 in the scopus with 4,605 citations and h=42 in the google scholar with 5,827 citations), in 10 invited book chapters and edited 2 books published by international publishers; member of the National Institute of Photonics/ CNPq (since 2009) and with CNPq research grant since 2003 (classified at Level 1B since 2020).
